Background

English Lecturer in the School of Language Education at North-West University, with teaching experience spanning from Grade 12 English Home Language to higher education. I have held various leadership roles, including Subject Head, Grade Guardian, and Deputy Chief Invigilator for the NSC examinations, gaining expertise in both CAPS and IEB curricula. My research focuses on innovative, student-centred teaching strategies, particularly gamification and outdoor learning, to enhance language acquisition, foster engagement, and reduce learner anxiety. My academic journey reflects a commitment to transforming education through creative and humanising pedagogies.
