The Hub is currently home to 48 members, including: 8 Junior Lecturers, 13 Lecturers with Master's degrees, 10 Lecturers with PhDs, 8 Senior Lecturers, 5 Associate Professors, 3 Full Professors, and 1 Research Professor.
The Acting Director, Professor Muchativugwa Liberty Hove, is rated C2 by the NRF and is a Full Professor of English Language & Literature at North-West University. He is a former Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Limpopo, South Africa, and a former Deputy Director in the School for Literature and Language Education. His current research interests include nation and narration, critical literary theory, cultural metissage, and applied language studies—particularly curriculum renewal through the decolonisation project, curriculum theory, and pedagogical approaches to teaching English. In 2024, he was a Visiting Scholar at the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).
