The Hub has three research nests: Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education; Languages and Humanities Education; and IT and AI in Education.
There is a concerted effort to nurture individual growth trajectories and to conduct research on the decolonization project, with a focus on the SADC region and collaboration with universities across Africa. We are driven by a passion for contributing to open educational resources (OER).
The anticipated projects include:
- Colloquia, seminars, and workshops aimed at strengthening postgraduate supervision practices.
- Reading and critically reviewing research proposals, project applications, and book proposals to provide feedback during ROE SC meetings.
- Evaluating examiner nominations submitted by supervisors and/or promoters for consideration.
- Critiquing postgraduate thesis proposals to refine their focus and facilitate successful registration for postgraduate studies.
- Promoting research within FEDU and enhancing the throughput and success of postgraduate students.
- Encouraging staff to actively engage in research and publication with an emphasis on impact.
